the gingko tree is yellow
in front of evergreens,
already leafless birches
can be also seen

following a river
and it's tributary -
Sun in late October
a super natural tease

as life goes on around where
sky and Earth embrace,
on the ground and in the air
as one we all now face

November looming,
'it's all downhill from here',
days becoming shorter
with cold and darkness near

the gingko tree preparing
to sleep until the spring -
with the evergreens I'm sharing
what next month will bring.....
